Uganda Rugby Cranes boss notes progress despite winless run

Uganda Rugby Cranes head coach John Duncan said that the side has made progress in terms of depth in the playing unit.
The Rugby Cranes 2019 World Cup dream suffered a setback as they lost their first two Africa Gold Cup matches against Namibia and Kenya with the tactician admitting that it is not the kind of showing they had planned for.
“We had a dream that we started four years ago.Sometimes when you climb a mountain you have to go back down and start over again and that is what we knew,”Duncan said.
Duncan’s charges sit at the basement of the log on 0 points after three rounds of matches.
“There has been progress especially with our depth. The results we needed to go our way haven’t gone our way. Some years the ball bounces for you and others it doesn’t.”
Uganda return to action on 4 August when they host Tunisia at the Legends Ground in Kampala.
