After naming his 12-man squad for the Sevens World Cup slated for 20-22 July in USA, Uganda coach Tolbert Onyango revealed why Rugby Cranes star Justin Kimono made the cut.
Kimono was summoned as a replacement for the injured Lawrence Sebuliba with the coach labelling him as a strong figure.
“He’s strong and quick on his feet. He’s been training with us in the conditioning phase and we believe he’ll bring different dynamics to our game,” Onyango told Daily Monitor.
Uganda who will be making their debut at the global showpiece begin their hunt for the Melrose Cup with a pre-round of 16 clash against Samoa and a win will see them face England for a place in the last eight.
