RUGBY AFRICA CUP

Kenya Simbas coach wary ahead of Uganda duel

Kenya Simbas head coach Ian Snook is cautious ahead of Saturday’s Africa Gold Cup cum Elgon Cup return leg against Uganda Rugby Cranes at RFUEA Ground.
Uganda head to the match on the backdrop of a 55-6 humiliation against Namibia in their opener and Snook believes that could drive them to want to get a positive result in Nairobi.
“Facing Uganda will not be an easy game because they lost the opening game away to Namibia and will be hungry to recover,” Snook is quoted on the Kenya Rugby Union’s portal.
The New Zealander also explained the four changes effected to the starting line up with Jacob Ojee, Felix Ayange, Vincent Mose and Oliver Mang’eni receiving the nod to start.
“I have made some changes to the team depending on how we have been faring during the training,”he said.
On matters Elgon Cup, Simbas carry an 18 point advantage to the clash having won 34-16 in the first leg staged in Kampala in May.
The match starts at 3:00pm.
