Solid second half display credited for Kenya Simbas win over Morocco

Kenya Simbas captain Davis Chenge credited his side’s second half display for their 28-24 Africa Gold Cup win over Morocco in Casablanca last Saturday.
Trailing 10-7 at the breather, Ian Snook’s charges turned on the style in the second half, striking three tries courtesy of Moses Amusala and Tony Onyango who helped himself to a brace. It was Kenya’s first ever win in the North African nation.
“I just told them to keep cool heads, maintain our systems and play as a unit and we managed to get the win,” Chenge said in the post match interview.
“A couple of errors as the match progressed allowed Morocco to come back. They also came hard at us but we managed to rise in the second half and got the victory,”added Chenge.
Simbas next assignment is a home tie against the Zimbabwe Sables on Saturday 30 June at the RFUEA grounds.
