Gold Cup: Namibia boss delighted with winning start

Namibia boss Phil Davies lauded his team’s perfomance after blowing aside Uganda 55-6 in their Africa Gold Cup opener at the Hage Geinghob stadium in Windhoek last Saturday.
The hosts scored nine tries and five conversions as Uganda managed only two penalties.
“We are happy.Credit to Uganda because they kept on playing like they have always done before.Iam pleased with my players; some of the things they did were good,”Davies told KweseSports after the contest.
The tactician intimated that they will have to bolster a few areas before Tunisia comes calling in their second match on 23 June.
“We have hardly played for eight months and we have to be pleased to get our competition off to a winning start. However,we shall have to work on a few areas before the next tough match which is against Tunisia.”
