Namibia humbles Uganda Rugby Cranes in Windhoek

Namibia kicked off their Africa Gold Cup defense with an emphatic 55-6 win over Uganda Rugby Cranes in a match played at the Hage Geinghob stadium in Windhoek this Saturday 16 June.
Match day two will see Namibia host Tunisia in Windhoek on Saturday 23 June while Uganda will have to wait until 7 July when they travel to Nairobi for a match against Kenya.The fixture will act as the Elgon Cup return leg.
The defending champions stamped authority in the first half, taking a comfortable 26-3 advantage to half-time courtesy of tries by Janco Venter, JC Greyling, Obert Nortje, Johan Deysel with Cliven Loubser booting three conversions as Uganda managed a solitary three pointer.
Namibia would compound to the visitors’ woes with 29 more points in the second half to start their campaign on a high.
