South Africa 7s side retained the HSBC world sevens overall title after winning the main cup at the Paris 7s following a 24-14 win over England at the Stade Jean Bouin stadium on Sunday evening.
The side pipped Fiji to the title after the latter finished 5th in Paris with a 28-7 win over USA.
South Africa end the season on 182 points, two more than second placed Fiji while New Zealand are third on 150 points.
The Blitzboks scored three tries, a drop-goal and three conversions against England’s two tries and two conversions.
Werner Kok, Dewald Human and Ryan Oosthuizen touched down for the South Africans as Justin Geduld managed three conversions and a drop-goal.
