MMUST skipper hails teammates showing in Kings of Rugby 7s win

Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST)  captain Samuel Mbeche was full of praise for his team-mate’s perfomance after the side won the opening round of the Kings of Rugby 7s at the Dedan Kimathi university last Sunday. 
The Kakamega based side edged out Blak Blad 10-7 in the final having ousted Africa Nazarene University and USIU at the quarter final and semi final stage in that order.
“Our 2018 dreams and targets are coming true.In my first year as captain, we have won the nationwide league unbeaten;the first Kings of Rugby 7s leg still unbeaten.The team has got a new spirit with very determined and disciplined individuals,”Mbeche said.
“Blak blad was the only threat at the opening round of the Kings of Rugby tournament.It was a very tough match.We took each match at a time,”he added.
“Special appreciation to our patron the Vice chancellor Prof Fredrick Otieno and our senior coach Dr Ahaya alongside the assistants Mr Asila and Mr Kisala
We’re going to step up and we believe that we have the capacity to win the overall Kings of Rugby 7s title in preparation for the national circuit,”he concluded.
