Oilers youngster replaces Ombachi as Kenya 7s departs for London

Menengai Oilers player Eric Ombasa has been drafted to the Kenya 7s squad ahead of this weekend’s London 7s, replacing Dennis Ombachi who according to the Kenya Rugby Union has failed to travel due to personal reasons. 
The London 7s is scheduled for 2-3  June with Shujaa, ranked 6th on the IRB World 7s series standings facing England, USA and France in pool C.
“Shujaa departed the country on Tuesday for the London and Paris legs of the 2017/18 HSBC Sevens World Series. Dennis Ombachi,initially named in the squad does not travel for personal reasons. His place in the squad is taken up by the 13th player, Erick Ombasa, ” a statement released by the Kenya Rugby Union Tuesday afternoon reads.
The Nondies man is also set to miss the final leg slated for 9-10 June in Paris France.
