Uganda coach upbeat ahead of Elgon Cup duel

Ahead of Saturday’s Elgon Cup first leg tie against Kenya Simbas, Uganda Rugby Cranes head coach John Duncan believes that the side has made a great improvement from last year.
Duncan after naming his match day squad further lauded his assistant Robert Seguya and called upon his charges to put their best foot forward at the Legends Club on Saturday evening.
“Robert (Seguya) has done great job and one thing for sure is that we are in a better place. We have had these players for three years now and built something,” he is quoted by the Daily Monitor Newspaper.
“We have to stand up and be counted because we can no longer afford to carry the underdog tag,” he added.
Saturday’s match will get underway at 4:30pm with seven players among them Kenyan based backrow Elphaz Emong in line for their test debuts for Uganda.
