Kabras mauls Strathmore to reach Kabeberi cup quarters;Mwamba exits

Kabras RFC came from behind to hand Strathmore Leos a 28-7 beating on Saturday September 9 at the RFUEA grounds.

Kabras had to rely on Philip Wokorach’s brace as Felix Ayange also touched down to send them to the Kabeberi 7s cup quarters.

Meanwhile,Homeboyz became the first team to book a slot in Sunday’s cup quarter finals with an emphatic 22-0 thrashing of Daystar Falcons.

Three tries

The Deejays managed to touch down thrice adding a single conversion as Daystar failed to claim a try.

Mwamba’s main cup journey was cut short as they lost their second match of the day,giving away a 17-14 lead to lose 19-14 to Nondies.

Kulabu had got onto the scoresheet courtesy of tries by Steve Sikuta, debuntant Ronnie Omondi and Daniel Taabu.

Nakuru RFC were also unfortunate ,succumbing to a 14-12 loss to Kisii, a result which leaves their cup quarters hopes hanging.

KCB joined Homeboyz in quarters with an emphatic 29-0 mauling of Sportpesa Quins.

Menengai Oilers also sailed to cup quarters after brushing aside Catholic Monks 47-7 in a match which the Oilers were dominant in both halves.

After falling to Oilers in their first match,Blak Blad redeemed themselves stunning Impala 21-7 to enhance their cup quarters chances.

Mean Machine found the going tough as they lost their second match of the day as they were stunned 14-10 by promoted side Makueni RFC.
