After missing out on his side’s 40-30 loss away to Otago last Saturday,Kenyan international Willy Ambaka has been handed a start in Manawatu Turbo’s squad set to clash with Bay of Plenty in a Mitre 10 Cup clash.
The speedster had been relegated to the Manawatu Turbos reserve team last weekend and coach Jeremy Cotter has recalled him as they seek to bounce back from last weekend’s setback.
Ambaka is set to start at his preffered left wing position in the Friday morning clash. Also included in the matchday squad is Antonio Kirikiri who starts at flank and Hamish Northcott at centre.
The Turbos have only managed one win in the 3 matches played so far in the Mitre 10 Cup and they sit fifth on the championship Division. They will be keen to claim a win in order to dislodge their Friday opponents,Bay of plenty who occupy fourth position.
