Simbas assistant coach laments poor first half show

Kenya Simbas assistant coach Charles Ngovi says that their lucklustre showing in the first half cost them the Hong Kong match.
Simbas failed to score a single try the entire opening 40 minutes, and only got onto the scoreboard courtesy of 3 penalties by Darwin Mukidza.
That would see the Simbas eventually fall 43-34 at the end of eighty minutes.
Speaking at the end of the match, Ngovi said that Hong Kong played well in the first half and took an early lead something which made it difficult for them to get back into the contest.
“Definitely disappointed because we always want to win.We had a good second half and a bad first half.
-They pinned us in our half for long and that is not what we expected.”
-At this level we should not make mistakes. Our systems are now working because we have achieved alot;coming second at the Africa Gold Cup,” he concluded.
