Abok:We want to top the sevens circuit

Resolution Impala Saracens sevens head coach Nick Abok says that the side targets to top the upcoming national sevens circuit set to get underway in September.
Speaking to Impala Saracens, the tactician said that the break taken during the electioneering period had a slight effect to their preparations but he strongly believes his charges will be upto task in the 6-legged circuit.
“The elections break posed a great challenge to us especially on matters consistency in fitness but the boys came back & adapted really well to training intensity. Last year we broke a ceiling by winning the Kabeberi 7s leg of the circuit.
Other teams will naturally come hard at us this year & we therefore have to step up. We want to top the circuit but our focus is still on winning one leg at a time,”he said.
Impala recently unleashed a strong 22 man squad that is set to do duty for them in the series with Samuel Oliech and Derrick Mayar being among the notable absentees.
The national sevens circuit will start on September 2 2017 with the Driftwood sevens taking centre stage at the Mombasa Sports Club.
The Gazelles will be seeking to improve on their fourth place finish last year that saw them crowned main cup champions on only one occassion, at the Kabeberi 7s.
