Homeboyz coach reveals national 7s circuit plans

Homeboyz RFC head coach Paul Murunga has revealed that their main aim will be to defend the overall title once the national 7s circuit gets underway in September 2017.
Speaking to KRU, Murunga asserted that with the initiative put in place for the team,they are set to defend their crown.
“Our preparations for this season are geared towards defending the overall title..I have a good initiative frim the players who are well aware of the task at hand,”he said.
After a lot of attempts to claim the overall 7s title since their maiden formation and appearance in 2009,the Deejays finally lifted the title last year after securing a total of 123 points.

In the 2016 season,Homeboyz made it to all the 6 finals of the circuit loosing on 3 occassions.
Murunga is wary of other teams which he says will be out to dethrone them as champions.
“Every tournament on the series will count, the first tournament in Mombasa will be crucial in gauging how we have prepared. I am pretty sure the other teams have prepared well and will be out to play well as they want to dethrone us as champions but we are ready for them,” he concluded.
