Former Blitzboks and Western Province player Egon Seconds will be the centre referee when Kenya Simbas take on Hong Kong in Nairobi in August 20 2017.
Seconds is not new in Kenyan rugby circles as he recently oversaw an African Gold Cup clash between hosts Zimbabwe and the Kenya Simbas in Bulawayo.
Seconds is the first South African professional player to transit to Super Rugby officiating, he was assistant referee when Argentina played England in San Juan,Argentina in June.
He took up the officiating role in 2014 after retiring from active playing having made his debut for the Western Province in 2001.
Kenya Simbas will be hoping to bounce back in the Hong Kong match having fallen to Namibia in their last match.
