Kopondo picks positives from 2017 Gold cup campaign

Kenya Simbas skipper Wilson Kopondo expressed optimism despite the side failing to sparkle in their final Africa Gold Cup match, going down to Namibia in Windhoek.
Speaking to the KRU media after succumbing to a heavy loss to Namibia,Kopondo said that he is impressed by the fact that they have a young squad which has gained enough experience in the few matches they have played.
“Two wins, one draw and one loss but we did not want this kind of result in the final match..we have a young squad and it is a good thing that they have been exposed to this level of rugby..They keep on getting better now that they know what it means to play at this stage,”Said Kopondo.
After the conclusion of the Africa Gold cup,the Simbas are set for yet another test as they will host Hong Kong in two test matches set for Nairobi on 19th and 26th August 2017.
