Kopondo:We knew it was going to be tough

Kenya Simbas captain Wilson Kopondo says that they were aware of the difficulty in the match against the Zimbabwe Sables in Bulawayo.
Speaking in interview after a 41-22 triumph,the Sportpesa Quins lock said that they knew the match would not be any easy and so they had to prepare mentally.Kopondo also attributed the win to the team effort that was exhibited by the Simbas.

“It was a big win because we knew it was going to be hard so we prepared mentally,”he said.”That was a good team effort and we are greatful for the win,”he added.
The Simbas had to rely on two late tries by Martin Owilah and Kopondo himself to survive the Zimbabwe scare in Bulawayo.Their next fixture is a potential title decider against Namibia on Saturday 29 July 2017 in Windhoek.
