Uganda coach slams Senegal's 'style of play' after Dakar win

Uganda Cranes assistant coach Robert Sseguya was irked by the style of play employed by the Senegalese team after the Cranes managed to edge them 17-16 on Saturday.
In Saturday’s clash,Nondies winger James Odong and Charles Uhuru touched down for Uganda as Philip Wokorach once again stepped up with his boot magic to drill in two penalties and a conversion to ensure that Uganda claimed victory in Dakar.
Speaking upon arrival from Dakar,assistant coach Robert Sseguya blamed Senegal for what he termed as playing “Boxing” and not rugby something which interrupted play alot.
“We did not play because they never let us play.“Every time we tried to keep the game flowing to get momentum, the game stopped because they were playing boxing and not rugby,” Sseguya told Daily monitor.
After Saturday’s victory,Uganda sit pretty at the summit of the six team log with six points one ahead of second placed Namibia.Their next clash is a home tie on 15 July against bottom of the log Tunisia at the Legends rugby grounds in Kampala.
