KCB fullback elated with Kenya Simba captaincy role

KCB rugby fullback Darwin Mukidza expressed his delight after he was handed the captaincy role for the Elgon cup first leg clash against Uganda cranes on Saturday 10th June 2017 at the Legends rugby grounds in Kampala.
The former Vihiga High school player is expected to skipper the side against Uganda due to the absence of regular captain Wilson Kopondo who sustained an injury in the team’s 30-29 defeat to Germany at the RFUEA grounds.
” I feel privileged, I am handling an elite group of players and look forward to their cooperation in executing whatever plans management has. We expect to register a positive result,”Mukidza told KRU.
“Uganda are capable of everything, it’s a side not to be taken for granted but we also have quite more capable guys who will handle the game and speed as well as strength wise and that’s how we are going to seal the game,” concluded Mukidza.
Mukidza was instrumental for his club KCB in the just concluded season, helping his side to clinch a double.Since making his Simbas debut against Portugal in 2015,the player has managed to make an appearance in each and every Simbas fixture
