Enterprise Cup Preview: Kabras out for sixth straight victory over Impala

The Enterprise Cup will enter the last four stage with Kenya Rugby Giants KCB, Kabras, Impala Saracens and Homeboyz all seeking a place in the final of the oldest competition in the country.
Kabras will welcome Ngong road based side Impala Saracens at Kakamega Showground as they seek to reach the final of the competition for the second time in a row.
Head to head
Impala’s last win over Kabras came in March 2016 where they picked a 31-14 at Impala Grounds. Since then they have failed to pick a win against the Sugarmen in five attempts.
Few days after their victory at Impala Grounds, the Gazelles lost 25-13 in the return leg before a 22-5 loss in the Kenya Cup final.

These two sides have  faced off twice in the just concluded Kenya Cup season with Kabras winning the first encounter played in March 29-26 before completing a double few days later picking a 21-18 win in the top six playoffs at Impala grounds.
This match is a repeat of last year’s Enterprise Cup semifinal that saw Kabras win 24-5 in Kakamega to proceed to finals.
Kabras
The side will be seeking to extend dominance over Impala by registering another victory over them. They beat Nondescript 50-11 to book a place in the Semifinal. It was after a 15-15 draw and a 16-5 win over Uganda Cranes.
Last year the Sugarmen reached the final of this competition but lost to KCB in the finals while in 2016 they dropped out of this competition at the Pre-quarters after 39-30 loss over Kenya Harlequins at RFUEA grounds.
They will only miss the services of George Nyambua and Brian Tanga who are out on with the National teams.
Impala Saracens
After getting a revenge against their neighbours Kenya Harlequins, Impala will be hoping to get another revenge over Kabras that has beaten them in last five meetings.
Impala who are under the leadership of Frank Ndong are playing the Semi Finals of the Enterprise cup for the third time in a row. In the last two editions their journey ended at Semi-Final stage losing to KCB by a 25-15 scoreline in 2015 while in 2016 they fell to Kabras.
Dennis Karani, James Kubasu, Erick Kerry and Simon Muniafu, Sam Onsumu, Derrick Mayar and Sammy Oliech miss the clash due to Kenya 15s assignments.
