Kenya 7s journey in Paris ends after Russia loss

Kenya 7s were knocked out of the Paris 7s after a 15-7 loss the Semi final of the 13th place.
After four minutes of play Derrick Mayar was sin-binned for a high tackle and Russia took advantage of the extra man and scored through Gostyuzhev on the right corner of the try box for a 5-0 lead.
Second try
Few minutes later Kapalin touched the second try for Russia on the left corner for a 10 -0 lead heading into the break.
Eden Agero then had a break in the second half after Ombachi’s off load and and set up Sammy Oliech who scored and converted and cut Russia’s lead to three points.
The Russian opened the gap after creating an overlap that saw Lazarenko score at the corner for a 15-7 lead.
Kenya now shifts focus on London 7s which is the final leg off the 2016/17 season
