Kenya Harlequins F.C beat Nakuru 28-20 in match played at RFUEA Grounds on Saturday to secure a place in the Quarters of the Enterprise cup.
Brian Wandera scored the first unconverted try of the game as his teammate David Ambunya added the second try to give Quins a 10-0 lead.
Nakuru’s Kevin Ominde awarded his team the first three points through a penalty and added a converted try a few minutes to put matters at level.
Ginton Adongo scored a third try giving the homes side Quins and ensured 15-10 lead at half time.
In the final half Isaac Adimo scored a penalty for the Quins and extended the lead but Nakuru’s Ominde was at it again scoring a try close the gap.
Nakuru leveled the scores through a drop goal but Keegan Kevin scored a penalty and later Eric Shikuku scored the closing try for the Quins giving them a chance in the quarters.
Harlequins will face it off with their neighbours Impala Saracens in the cup quarter finals next weekend.
At Kenyatta University Brian Kadenge touched down twice while Wesley Kidinga scored once and helped Michael Tank Otieno’s Blak Blad to overcome Mwamba RFC with a scoreline of 17-12. The students will now make a shot trip to Ruaraka for the quarters against champions KCB.
In another match played in Nairobi , Nondescript who have won the Enterprise cup 25 times beat Mean Machine 19-5 at Jamhuri gounds to join the quarters where they face 2016 semifinalist Kabras.
After trailing 7-5 in the opening half, Homeboyz came from behind to beat former Kenya Cup side Western Bulls 32-20 in a match played at Bullring in Kakamega.
They Deejay will now face Strathmore leo in the quarters.
