East African Champions Kakamega School beat starstudded Laiser Hill 18-14 to reclaim the National 15s title in final match played at Nairobi School.
Coming to this final the Barbarians were seeking to win the 15s title for the first time since 2013.
The side started off the match strong and managed a two tries while Derick Ashihundu managed to convert one try and added a penalty onto in for 15-7 lead by halftime break.
In the second half Kakamega Ashiundu added a penalty to make the margin unreachable for Laiser hill who scored and converted their second try in the second half.
The win has extended Kakamega’s National titles to seven in 15s rugby, meaning they remain the alltime 15s champions.
Both Kakamega and Laiser will represent Kenya in the East African national game and will be joined by Upperhill who booked a place in the finals after downing St Marys Yala.
