Kobs kicked off the Uganda Premiership campaign with a resounding 51-0 win over Rhinos in a match staged at Kings Park.
Pius Ogena scored four tries as the side ran nine tries and converted three to pick a huge win of the weekend. Ogena scored three tries in the first half for his side to lead 17-0 at halftime. Former Nondies back James Odongo would score the first try of the second to begin his kobs stint on a high. Ijongat converted to stretch the lead to 24-0.
Ogena- a former Kabras man would then set up Brian Ochan for a converted try before Kobs skipper Brian Asaba joined the scorers’ list with an unconverted try.
Former Kenya Harlequins winger Daudi Semwami landed another before Ogena scored his fourth and final try of the day.

At Kyadondo, defending Champions Heathens beat Pirates 24-19. Aziz Khan opened the scores for Heathens before Pirates new signing Solomon Okia announced himself with a try after William Nkore fed him with a pass. The resulting conversion saw Pirates lead 7-5.
Heathens restored their lead with Michael Wokorach combining with Aaron Ofoyrwoth who scored for a three-point lead after a missed conversion. The scoreline would remain the same heading to the break.
In the final half, Paul Epilo scored a try at the centre and made it easy for Joseph Oyet to add the extras. Ofoyrwoth crossed over for his second try and fourth of the match which earned his side a bonus point.
Oyet added the extras to push the scores to 24-7. At the other end, fly-half Ivan Magomu would sell a dummy before slicing through the defence to hand his side a try. Nkore converted to bring Pirates back in the game.

Musa Muwonge would latch on a chip-over kick to score the third try for Pirates but Heathens held on to win.
The match pitting Hippos and Warriors scheduled for Legends Club was cancelled and Kelly Akengo and Eliphaz Emong did not make their debuts.
Impis lost to Mongers 15-10 as Buffaloes beat Rams 15-3.
