Impis Rugby mourns death of player

Ugandan side Impis Rugby Club is mourning the death of “Utility future star” Graham Mubanda.

Mubanda, 22, was yet to make an appearance for the side, having just completed a switch to the Kampala-based side weeks ago, and was awaiting his debut at the start of the 2021 season on Saturday 6.

Acording to a social media post, Mubanda died after a night attack by robbers on Thursday March 4.

“Death has robbed us of a future star. We have lost Graham “Bandalle” Mubanda after he suffered an attack from thieves the in Kikoni last night. Graham had joined us as a center/ lock for this season. May his soul rest in peace,” reads the post from Impis Rugby.

We at The Scrummage send our message of condolence to the family of Mubanda, and the Impis Rugby Club fraternity.
