Six Nations standings after round one

The Six Nations Campaign kicked off on Saturday 6 February with two matches being played while the final match of the opening round was staged on Sunday.

After the round one matches, France are top of the log with five points following their 50-10 emphatic win over Italy in a match staged in Rome. The Frenchmen were the only side to earn a winning bonus point over the weekend.

Wales sit second on the log with four points after failing to pick a bonus point in their 21-16 win over Ireland on Sunday. The Welshmen are on level points with Scotland who won against England at Twickenham for the first time since 1983.

The Scots edged England 11-6 to reclaim the Calcutta Cup as the sides marked the 150th anniversary of the oldest rivalry in rugby.

Ireland and England hold the fourth and fifth spots having picked a losing bonus point in their fixtures. Italy sit bottom with no points.
