Sharks-Griquas squads ahead of face-off in Kimberly

Sharks and Griquas have named their squads that will meet in Kimberley on Friday in their penultimate Super Rugby Unlocked pool game scheduled for Friday 8:00 PM.

The visitors’ Sharks will be eyeing three wins in three outings and will have Jeremy Ward captaining them from the midfield alongside inside centre Marius Louw.

Anthony Volmink is at fullback while Yaw Penxe and Madosh Tambwe will cover the wings. Kerron van Vuuren comes in for Daniel Jooste at hooker, while Ruben van Heerden is back in the second row after two starts for JJ van der Mescht, who will play off the bench.

In the back row, James Venter is in for Dylan Richardson with Thembelani Bholi earning a first start and Phepsi Buthelezi completing the loose trio.

The hosts Griquas, have Adré Smith starting in the second row next to lock Cameron Lindsay while Mzwanele Zito drops to the bench.

Johan Momsen is back at number 8 taking the place of Carl Els. Skipper  George Whitehead returns at flyhalf as Tinus de Beer moves to the bench.

Masixole Banda starts at fullback ahead of James Verity-Amm, Eduan Keyter switches from outside centre to wing while Harlon Klaasen is now entrusted with the No 13 duties in midfield.

Centurion Ederies Arendse, Johnathan Francke and Zak Burger have retained their slots.
