European Rugby Champions Cup will enter the semi-final stage on Saturday 26 September with matches scheduled for 3:00 PM and 5:30 PM East African time.
Defending Champions Saracens will be in the first semi-final where they will tackle last year’s quarterfinalists Racing 92 at Paris La Défense Arena in the first clash.
Saracens beat Leinster 25-17 in a quarterfinal match staged at Aviva Stadium on Saturday to reach the last four while Racing 92 eliminated Clermont Auvergne following a 36-27 at Stade Marcel-Michelin.
In the second semis scheduled for Sandy Park, Premiership Leaders Exeter Chiefs will take on Toulouse at 5:30 PM EAT. Toulouse advanced to the semi-finals after seeing off Ulster 36-8 in a quarterfinal clash played at Stade Ernest Wallon on Sunday.
Exeter, on the other hand, beat Northampton Saints 38-18 to earn a maiden Champions Cup semi slot. Champions Cup is an annual rugby union tournament by European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR). It is the top-tier competition for clubs whose countries’ national teams compete in the Six Nations Championship.
Clubs qualify for the Champions Cup via their final positions in their respective national/regional leagues (English Premiership, French Top 14, and Pro14) or via winning the second-tier Challenge Cup; those who do not qualify are instead eligible to compete in the second-tier Challenge Cup.
