Kabras rugby club Head coach Henley Du Plessis has parted ways with the Club.
Nation Sport reports that the South African national who travelled home last month will not be returning to the club. The tactician will, however, come in to help and work on the other projects with the Kakamega based Club.
“Every moment was special for me and I would like to thank all the players and the management at Kabras Sugar for giving me the opportunity. I am sure I contributed something and whoever will take over will uphold the standards,” Du Plessis was quoted by Nation Sport.
“I will be coming to the country occasionally when Covid-19 eases since I still have some programs with Kabras Sugar Rugby Club.”
Du Plessis joined Kabras ahead of the 2018/19 season and lead the side to 17 Kenya Cup wins in the regular season. He then guided the side to the finals before losing to KCB 23-15.
A weekend later he delivered the first-ever Enterprise Cup title. In his second season, he led the side to 17 wins topping the table with 74 points.
