The High Court has ordered a retrial of former Kenyan Internationals Frank Wanyama and Alex Obala who had been sentenced to 15 years in Jail.
Citizen Digital reports that the case will be heard afresh at a lower court since the High Court noted that the existing records do not show whether one of the witnesses was sworn or not. The two are set to be taken to Kilimani Police station for the preparation of plea taking before July 7.

11 months ago, Chief Magistrate Martha Mutuku sentenced the players to 15 years in jail after they were found guilty of raping a female musician.
In an Instagram post by the accuser, she said she could not fight the two professional players on a particular night, letting them have their way. The incident is said to have happened at Seefar Apartments at Nairobi’s Highrise area.
