Three straight wins from the opening rounds of the Super Rugby Aotearoa have seen Blues maintain the lead on top of the standings.
Blues have amassed 12 points following four points in each of their opening three games of the campaign. They are three points above Crusaders who have played one match less.
Crusaders beat Chiefs 18-13 at Orangetheory Stadium to extend their unbeaten run at home to 35 matches. Four points from the assignment have seen then move to nine points at position two.
Highlanders have picked a win and a loss in the campaign and they remain third on the log. Landers have five points after the two rounds.
Chiefs winless streak in the campaign leaves them with two points all coming as losing bonus points. Hurricanes who are yet to win have no points.
The matches are scheduled to continue this coming weekend with Blues set to rest. Crusaders will travel to Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin to face Highlanders on Saturday. Crusaders will be keen to pick maximum points to go top of the log.
Winless Chiefs and Hurricanes will face off at FMG Stadium Waikato, Hamilton on Sunday as they work towards ending their bad run.
