Kenya Cup side Nondies have announced a 10-year deal with The Jockey Club of Kenya which will see the side relocate from Jamhuri Grounds to the Racecourse based facility.
According to a statement released by the club, they have opted to move since they have outgrown the current base at Jamhuri Grounds. The statement also revealed that the new bases provide a quality pitch in a location that will help the side be in a position to raise more funds to support the club.
“On behalf of the club, we are delighted to announce that we have signed a 10 year, renewable license, with The Jockey Club of Kenya (JCK) and we will be moving to the racecourse'” Reads a statement by the Oldest Club in Kenya.
“We have outgrown our current ground and it whilst it served us well, the new site will provide a better quality pitch in a better location and importantly with the increased opportunities to generate funds to support the club. The pitch, which will be located inside the racetrack, is currently being levelled and made match ready.”
“There is adequate space for a full-size pitch and a good-sized training ground. The new Clubhouse is located within the main racecourse buildings and overlooks the show ring. We are grateful for your continued support but the coming months is a time when we need it more
Nondies have previously used Jamhuri Grounds with Kenya Cup side Homeboyz.
