All Blacks great Dan Carter confirms departure from Japan’s Kobelco

Former All Blacks fly-half Dan Carter has announced that he is parting ways with Japanese outfit Kobelco Steelers.

The three-time World Player of the Year revealed the development via his social media account but did not disclose his next move.

He leaves Steelers having helped the side become champions in Japan’s Top League during the 2018/19 season.

He was hoping to bag another title but with the 2019/20 Top League cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, Carter revealed that his stint in Japan has come to an end. The World Cup winner has predicted that the club has a bright future.
