Kenya Cup side Mwamba have withdrawn from the Enterprise Cup quarterfinal meaning Kabras will earn a walkover.
According to Mwamba’s official portal, the side has decided to only field the second-string side in the Mwamba Cup Quarters.
Their senior side will not honour the Kakamega trip allowing Kabras who are the defending Champions to proceed to the semis without kicking a ball.

“Mwamba will send one team to Kakamega this weekend. We will, therefore, play Kabras in Mwamba Cup only. A decision has been made to miss this weekend’s EnterpriseCup,” reads a statement by Mwamba’s official Twitter page.
The decision has been taken to allow the first team players who are hit with injuries have enough rest ahead of the Kenya Cup Quarterfinal clash against Impala set for Impala Club next week.
“This decision was reached on the advice of the club’s medical team as the first team is currently decimated by injuries. The doctors advised that the players will need extended rest and recovery in order to be fully fit for the rest of the #KenyaCup campaign,” the statement further read.
