Shamas Foundation have continued with their unbeaten run after edging out Daystar Falcons 28-25 in a closely contested Nairobi Nationwide finals.
They will be welcoming Maseno University in the national quarterfinals who were dethroned by fast rising CITAM Kisumu in the Western Nationwide league finals.
Kitale are the new champions of the Rift Valley after pummeling Kabarak University 30-9 in a match staged at St.Anthony’s Kitale. However, both of these teams will be hosting their nationwide quartefinal matches in a fortnight time.
TUM Marines are the weekend’s biggest winners courtesy of a 52-0 drubbing of Malindi RFC. TUM will however make a long trip to Nakuru in two weeks time to play Kabarak University for a chance of a maiden championship appearance.
JKUAT Cougars are back-to-back Central Nationwide Champions after defeating Embu RFC 17-5 in Juja. JKUAT will travel to Rift Valley for the second time in less than a year to play Kitale RFC after failing in the same stage in April 2019 to Moi University.
CITAM Kisumu shocked perennial Western Nationwide Champions, Maseno University 10-15 to grab the hosting rights of the national quarterfinals. They will entertain Daystar Falcons in the fourth quarterfinal.
