Impala-Kisumu to honour departed Richard Sidindi

As they face off this weekend in the final clash of the regular season, Impala and Kisumu will use the clash to honour departed Richard Sidindi who played for both sides.

The teams will compete for The Richard Sidindi Trophy each time they meet. Sidindi who died on 23 February 2019 started his club career at Kisumu RFC in 2005 and stayed with the lakeside till 2011.

He crossed over to Impala where he played till February 2019. The fullback met his death while he was swimming at the club bases. He drowned during the exercise.

Impala Club chairman Bob Asiyo described the departed star a true club man who was really willing to help any member at the club regardless of gender and age.

“Jadha was the definition of a club man. He was always at hand to help the Club and its members, male or female, old or young. We really miss him,”  Asiyo told Impala media.
