Ireland have named their 13-man squad that will take part in the fifth and six leg of the World 7s Series.
The side has been pooled alongside Kenya 7s, South Africa and Canada in Pool B of the Los Angeles 7s. Ulster Academy scrum-half Graham Curtis is included in the travelling squad for the first time, having featured for the Ireland Development side in Dubai back in December.
According to the team’s official website, Foster Horan who impressed in Hamilton 7s misses out due to injury. Billy Dardis will captain the side that has the likes of Harry McNulty, Jordan Conroy, Terry Kennedy, Adam Leavy, Bryan Mollen, Greg O’Shea and Mark Roch.
IRFU Director of Sevens and Women’s Rugby Anthony Eddy says his charges have rested enough and are ready to perform better.
“The group has prepared well for the LA and Vancouver legs and I think they are excited to get back to the old format of competition where they will play three games during the day,” he said.
“The turnaround from Sydney has been short but they are well-rested and keen to show improvement from the last leg.”
