Fiji 7s Head Coach Gareth Baber has included Police 7s ace Suliano Volivoli in the 14-man squad that will be on duty for the next two legs of the World Sevens Series.
Baber says Volivoli’s consistent work ethic and attitude to training has impressed hence including him in the squad.
“He’s got a maturity about his game, and he knows the game of sevens, he just loves to work, he’s got a great work ethic and that’s what we love about him,” Baber told Fiji Rugby Union.
“With big effort from the boys, we will continue to get better in every tournament we play”
“I’m quite pleased with the way that we’ve been training, and now, we’ve got a good opportunity going into LA against teams that have beaten us previously, to step up.”
He added that their biggest challenge is to get the results they need from their pool.
“We won’t let anything distract us of what we aiming for, it’s about being focused on the job at hand, getting those performances right and continuing to develop how we play.”
Los Angeles 7s kicks off on Saturday 29 February at the Dignity Health Sports Park, the current home Stadium for the LA Galaxy(MLS) and the LA Chargers(NFL)
Fijian 7s takes on an invitational South Korea 7s team in their first pool match.
