Pools for the fifth round of the World 7s Series-Los Angeles 7s slated for 29 February-1 March in USA have been announced.
Kenya 7s have landed in Pool B and they will be facing off with South Africa for the third time in the Pool stages and for the fourth time season. Shujaa will also tackle Ireland- for the second time after meeting in Cape Town while the fourth team in the Pool will be Canada.
Pool A has World 7s Series defending Champions Fiji who will have a date against Argentina, France and Invitational side Korea. In Pool C, host USA have a date against Australia, Scotland and Samoa.
The final Pool has England, World 7s Series leaders New Zealand, Wales and Spain. With no Women tournament during the event, the Los Angeles will revert to the format where the top two teams in each pool qualify for the quarterfinals.
Pool A and D will cross over while the top two in each of Pool B and Pool C will meet in the last eight. The USA leg was previously held in Las Vegas but has been moved to LA. The two-day event will take place at the Dignity Health Sports Park, the home stadium to LA Galaxy (MLS) and the LA Chargers (NFL), as well as a future host venue for the 2028 Summer Olympic Games.
