Barthes Cup defending Champions Kenya Under 20 are in Pool A of the Competition slated for Nairobi on April 19, 22 and 26.
The youngsters are in the same pool as Madagascar, Tunisia and Zambia. Last year’s runners Namibia are in Pool B alongside Senegal, Zimbabwe and Cote d’Ivoire.
Despite the teams being grouped in pools, the matches will not be played on a round-robin format. In Pool A, Chipu will tackle Zambia in the first match while Tunisia will play Madagascar.
The losers of the two fixtures will face-off on day two of the tournament while winners will meet to determine who wins the Pool. It will be the same case in Pool B where Namibia will battle Cote d’Ivoire as Senegal take on Zimbabwe.
The winners of the clashes will also meet to determine who tops the Pool. Pool Aand Pool B toppers will then meet in the final match while runners-up will meet in the third-place playoffs.
Second runners up in the Pools will meet for a fifth-place playoff while the bottom-placed teams will battle for the seventh place.
