ESS: Kabras, KCB extend fine run, Impala pick resounding win


Eric Shirley Shield holders KCB II and Kabras II continued to shine in the reserve league, winning their respective matches on Saturday 25 January.

KCB beat Western Bull 33-03 at the Bull Ring to stay unbeaten. Kabras, on the other hand, got a 57-3 win at Mamboelo Grounds over Kisumu. Jeanson Musoga and Beda Enonda landed early tries for a 14-0 lead after Avasai Kuruyuwa’s conversions.

Felix Makokha scored off the scrum-half while Nictor Nandasaba added the third conversion. Nandasaba came back to the scoresheet with a try and converted it. The fly-half was unable to add a conversion their fifth try and they headed to the break leading 33-0.

In the closing half, Collins Indeche crossed over for a try before Kisumu got a penalty. Enonda scored two tries before Indeche got his second of the game.

At Impala Club, Impala Saracens whipped Nondies 73-0 while Menengai Oilers 25-15 at Nakuru Athletic Club.
