Blak Blad pick vital point in Mwamba loss

Mwamba RFC registered the first win of the year, ending their two-match winless streak following a narrow 15-14 win over Blak Blad at Strathmore Grounds.

Kulabu opened the scores with a try from fullback Ronnie Omondi. Fly-half Elvis Namusasi took the scores to 8-0 after drilling in a penalty. They held on the slim lead heading to the break.

In the final half, Omondi bagged his second try taking the scores to 15-0 after Michael Agevi’s conversion. Blad responded via Calvin Nyeusi while Kelvin Gathu belted in a conversion.

Kenya Cup leading scorer Achadius Khwesa then gave Blad the second try to take his tally to 13 tries this season. Gathu added the extras but Mwamba worked to avoid the third defeat.

Blad have now moved a point above the relegation zone after getting a losing bonus from the clash
