Impressive wins for MMUST, Strathmore & Machine in Championship


Strathmore Leos and MMUST Kenya Cup dream is more than alive after bagging massive wins in the opening matches of the year.

MMUST will be all smiles as they make an 851.9  Kilometre journey back home having pummeled Mombasa 33-3 in a Championship clash at Mombasa Sports Club.

Winger Claus Shirievo was the match of the match for the side grabbing three tries in the clash.  Nobert Lubwani and Isaiah Mulongo landed a try each to take their tally to five tries.

Tyson Juma and John Bahati strung in a two conversions each in the win.  Strathmore Loes thrashed Egerton Wasps 37-7 while Mean Machine also hit the 30’s beating Eldoret 33-12.

The match pitting South Coast Pirates failed to kick-off as Kisii were unable to honour fixture. This marked Kisii’s fourth walkover dish out.

“Today’s home game against Kisii has been cancelled as they cannot honour the fixture,” reads a statement by Pirates.
