Oilers name squad for Mwamba duel, Ominde, Chituyi set to make debut

Menengai Oilers boss Gibson Weru has named his squad that will take on Mwamba RFC in a Kenya Cup match set for Nakuru ASK Showground on Saturday.

Javan Ateh gets the first Kenya Cup to start having stayed out last season and in the 2017/18 season nursing injuries on his right and left knees. New signings Dalmus Chituyi, Mark Kwemoi and Geoffrey Ominde have been drafted on the bench and they will make a cameo debut.

Ateh will partner with Chrispine Shitindo in the second row while Kenya Under 20 ace Edward Mwaura, Kelvin Mukoyani and Vincent Mwikali will lead the attack. The back row consists of Nickson Ochieng, Samuel Were and Rodgers Audi.

Andrew Odero and Moses Arara are halfbacks while Austin Sikutwa and Emman Okwako play in the midfield. The back three has Nickson Mogire, Timothy Okwemba and Derric Keyoga. Oilers will be seeking to bounce back to winning ways having lost the last game before the Kenya Cup break.
