Impala Saracens forward Edgar Obino has completed a move to KRU Championship side USIU Martial.
Impala’s Head Coach Mitch Ocholla explained that the front-rower has left the club for USIU where he also expected to continue with his studies. He joins Mark Kwemoi who has left the club for Menengai Oilers.
“Edgar Obina moved to USIU because of education reasons. We wish him well, Mark Kwemoi also left and it is sad to lose him since he was a top player but we also wish him well,” Ocholla told Scrummage.
USIU will be hoping to rise from a slow start which has seen them win just one of the last eight matches played in the second tier. They drew and lost four matches to end the year with 17 points.
They are set to start the year with an away clash to Karen for a match against Catholic Monks who also started the year slowly, winning just three of the last nine games.
USIU will be hoping to start off strong to keep the playoff dream alive.
