Homeboyz Head Coach Jason Hector is delighted to have picked a win against a quality Kabras side as they met last weekend in Kenya Cup.
The Deejays beat Kabras 20-17 at Impala Club on Saturday and the South African tactician is happy that his players were able to sustain the pressure from the Sugarmen.
“It is a good feeling but there is a whole bunch of matches ahead. Kabras is a quality outfit we all know that and we cannot take anything away from them. They came for us but our boys withstood the pressure and fortunately, the ball bounced the right way,” Hector told Scrummage.
Hector admitted that lessons picked in the previous matches including a 27-24 loss to KCB have been key to their improvement and he is targeting more win to achieve his targets.
“Every match is a learning curve, we learn lessons on how we should warm-up, how to use the subs and if you don’t learn the new lessons then you don’t improve. Every team wants more wins so I have a target on my back and we would like to achieve it,” he added.
Homeboyz have greatly improved this season and they sit just two points behind leaders Kabras.
