Kakamega High ace named best in KSSSA National 15s


Kakamega High fullback David Kamau was awarded as the Most Valuable player at Kenya Secondary School Sports Assocation National 15s games.

The back was outstanding from day one for the Barbarians who went on to win the eighth National title in 10 final appearances. Kakamega beat Dagoretti 18-11 to win the finals held at Shimo La Tewa.

Kamau scored in each of their games bar the final. Kakamega went on to win all their five matches in the competition.

His side Kakamega will head to the 15s East African Games seeking to reclaim the title they last won in 2016. They will be joined by Dagoretti who made it to the finals for the first time.

Kangaru also booked a ticket to the EA games set for Arusha Tanzania in August after finishing third in the competition.

In the 7s category, Laiser Hill Clinton Kioko walked away with the Most Valuable Player in the 7s category despite his side relinguishing the title.

Laiser Hill lost 10-5 to Upper Hill in the finals held at Shimo  La Tewa High School.  St Peters bagged bronze to qualify for East African games.
