Dagoretti brush aside Kangaru for maiden National 15s finals appearance


Nairobi Region 15s Champions Dagoretti High School will play in the finals of Kenya Secondary School National 15s games for the first time in the recent past after beating Kangaru 31-0 in the semis played at Shimo La Tewa High.

Prior to this clash, Dago had won all their opening three matches and their target was to play in finals for the first in the last 28 years of competition.

The side made their intentions clear from the word go and managed to get 12 points from the first half. Timothy Lugalia opened the scores by dotting the first try of the match. The side added extras from the tee to lead 7-0.

Terrik Osundwa added the second try which put his side to a 12-0 lead. The side held on the lead till the halftime break.

Lucas Oyugi opened their second half scores by bagging their third try. Lugalia added the extras for a 19-0. Lugalia would return to the score with an umconverted try for a 24-0 lead.

Gravin George sealed their victory after dotting their final try while Lugalia added the extras

Dago will face the winner of the second semi pitting All time leading champions Kakamega High and Alliance High.
