Uganda 7s captain Michael Wokorach expects Kenya and Namibia to provide a tough challenge ahead of this weekend’s Africa Sevens in Tunisia.
Wokorach, who is also part of the Uganda 15s set up is however optimistic that their participation at the 2018 Sevens World Cup in USA in July will be helpful as they chase a third successive continental crown.
“We have Kenya and Namibia coming back to the event so it will be tougher (but) we are going for it and the team has good experience having been to the World Cup early this year,” Wokorach told Kawowo Sports.
Uganda are the Africa Sevens defending champions having won last year’s edition with a 12-5 win over Zimbabwe in the final staged at the Legends Grounds in Kampala.
